I'm a freelance journalist, audio producer, and writer.
I specialise in open source research, interviewing vulnerable people, location recording, and editing complex features and documentaries.
Before journalism I worked internationally as a survey scuba diver, carried out archival research at the Harry Ransom Center in Austin, Texas, and spent a year as a mental health support worker. These experiences developed my ear for human stories and gave me the skills to frame them in non-judgemental and approachable ways.
I grew up on the east coast of Scotland, and I've lived in Glasgow, Santiago de Chile, Cambodia, Greece, Mainz and Austin, TX where I got my start in radio at KVRX. I currently live in Bristol.
In my spare time I read and write fiction, play football, and chase the world's greatest fish taco.
